Ashish Nehra who made a comeback to the Indian side at the age of 38 for the T20I series against Australia, has decided to say goodbye to competitive cricket.
Not only International cricket, the veteran pacer has stepped aside from IPL too. He was last seen playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was in contention for a spot in the Champions Trophy squad but missed out due to an injury which the fast bowler sustained during the IPL.
“Yes, Ashish has told both Ravi and Virat that he does not want to continue beyond November 1 when India plays New Zealand at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Obviously, there is some element of surprise. One thought that he would like to continue till the home season against Sri Lanka. But he feels, it’s the right time to move on,” the BCCI official said.
