Farzi Times: Vinod Kambli to join Mumbai Indians, Parthiv Patel is unhappy

Kambli will play crucial role in preparing pitches in IPL.

Ramesh Powar or Vinod Kambli? Answer and win 5 star chocolate. | GETTY

Mumbai Indians (MI) support staff, which is already considered as an emergency team of IPL (just in case any team backs out in the middle of the tournament) is going to add another member. It is said that MI support staff of 6-7 can beat Delhi Daredevils easily, they have such robust ex-cricketers.

Another name is going to be added to the long list as Vinod Kambli will be joining them in the next season.

Since everything is fine now, between Sachin Tendulkar and Kambli, the latter will be joining the three times IPL winners. Vinod will be helping Wankhede pitch curator to make bowling pitches whenever needed. He will be shown 1996 World Cup Semi-final footages to provide the much-needed moisture to the pitch.

If the video isn't enough, Sachin will be asked to read his farewell speech again and miss Vinod Kambli's name from it once more, that will do the trick, at least it did on the news channels. Worth a try, isn't it?

The only problem Kambli can face is that he may be denied to enter the stadium if security outside mistakes him as Ramesh Powar, for that the former India cricketer will make sure to wear ray-ban glasses and not those red ones from outside the railway station.

The Mumbai Indians were the most watched team on television in the first and last season of the IPL, totaling to 239 million viewers.

It is also doubtful that Vinod will be allowed to sit outside in dug-out to make sure Parthiv Patel gets a good view of the match. Poor Parthiv!

Good that Mumbai Indians have got Vinod Kambli on their staff if they had made Himesh Reshammiya their mascot, MI's motto would have been changed from 'We will rock the world' to 'Jai Mata Di lets rock the world'.
