Former Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir received a guard of honour from the Andhra players when he walked out to bat in his last match and possibly his last innings for Delhi at Feroz Shah Kotla on Friday.
Gambhir recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and the ongoing Ranji game will be the last of his cricketing career.
The southpaw walked out to bat with his partner, Hiten Dalal to open the innings for Delhi after Andhra piled up 390 in their first innings, with Ricky Bhui scoring 187.
During his innings, a fan managed to breach the security and ran on the pitch to touch his feet.
Gambhir looked in great touch and was unbeaten on 92 with Delhi at 190/1, when play was called off for the day. The left-hander will look to walk away with a hundred on the third day and help his side go past Andhra's total.
