Virat Kohli cements his no.1 spot in ICC Test rankings thanks to Rajkot century

Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja too gained a lot of ground in rankings.

Ravindra Jadeja has closed in on top ranked all-rounder spot with his century and four wickets in Rajkot Test | AFPIndia captain Virat Kohli has solidified his position at the top of the ICC Test batsmen rankings after his brilliant century against West Indies in the first Test in Rajkot, as he moved within one point of his highest rating point of 937.

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s six wickets in the match, including a haul of five for 57 in the second innings, has lifted him 16 places to 52nd position.

Kuldeep Yadav | AFPRavindra Jadeja’s 100 not out has lifted him six places to 51st among batsmen and with the four wickets in the match, he has also narrowed down the gap with top-ranked Shakib Al Hasan to three points in the all-rounders' list.

Test debut centurion Prithvi Shaw entered the list of batsmen at the 73rd position. Australia opener Usman Khawaja has moved into the top 10 for the first time, thanks to his marathon hundred against Pakistan in Dubai, which secured a draw for Australia.
