One debate that fails to die is who was better - Sachin Tendulkar or Brian Lara? The two legendary cricketers defined the era of 1990s with their record shattering batting and sparked fights over the best of all time.
Both were a complete batsman and did superbly well for their countries. Picking one between these two can be a headache, but Caribbean cricketer Dwayne Bravo did it with ease.
Bravo, who appeared in the show hosted by Harbhajan Singh, 'Bhajji Blast', named his all-time favorite cricketer. He picked Brian Charles Lara and called him his hero.
“For me, I will pick up Brian Lara because he is my hero. For you, it's Sachin because he is master. I played with Lara more, been around with him more but you cannot discuss these guys. These two are special in their own way. There is nothing to be discussed and compared,” he said.
Lara, who made his debut in 1990, went on to play 131 Test matches. The eye-catching average of 52.88 perfectly reflected how good he was with the bat. He scored 34 hundreds including an unbeaten 400 which is still the highest run in a Test innings.
