Sahas return is expected to be delayed

By Mohana Rathore -
Wicket Keeper Batsman, Parthiv Patel, who made a return after 8 years, is expected to retain his spot for the Fourth Test. Parthiv was impressive with the bat at top of the order, as he scored 42 in the first and remained unbeaten after scoring a quick fire half century in second innings. Not only did Parthiv did fairly well with his bat against England in his comeback but his glovework behind the stumps was also commendable. And now with Wriddhiman Saha, Indias first-choice wicketkeeper, unlikely to recover in time, Parthiv is expected to retain his spot in the Test Team.According to the BCCI Sources, Saha, who is struggling with his Hamstring, is unlikely to return before the start of 4th Test at Mumbai, and in his absence Parthiv is expected to play the 4th Test starting 8th December.Chief selector MSK Prasad told the media in Chennai on Tuesday that Saha remains Indias No. 1 Test wicketkeeper and his recovery, coupled with Parthivs good work, would have given the selection committee some dilemma about their pick for the next Test.Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma, who is getting married on December 9, has been released from the squad but it is unlikely any replacement will be announced.
