By Rashmi Nanda -

After recovering from knee and thigh soreness, Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir is expected to be fit for the second Test against Australia, which will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday.

During the first Test, Mohammad injured his right knee because of which he was taken off the field. The incident happened when Australian fast bowler was bowling with a 152 kilometer-an-hour (94 mph) full toss to Amir that time the bowl hit the Pakistani pacer which left him with an injured thigh. The first test was won by Australia by 39 runs.

On Thursday, the left-arm pacer had his knee impoverished previous to bowling in the nets at the MCG, but Grant Flower, the Pakistani batting coach said that there are no worries on the subject of his form.

Flower said, “There’s quite a bit of bruising on his thigh. He’s feeling a bit stiff but he’s all right. I think our attack will probably be the same.”

There was some tension between Amir and Starc, Grant said on this, “There was just a bit of banter going on. Just the usual, I don’t think there was anything over the top. There were a couple of strong words exchanged but that’s part of the game.”

Pakistani skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, who didn't  perform well in the both innings with the bat of the first test but the Pakistani fans hoped that he will give a better performance in the second test against Australia.

The batting coach stated, “He is going through a bit of a trot but he’s been through these periods before and he’s a class player. He’s got the mental strength and resilience to come back and I’m sure a good innings is just around the corner.”
