Former English cricketer turned commentator, Mark Nicholas has suffered a health scare during the Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan as the MCG and he been taken from the ground for treatment.
However, Nicholas wasn't on air at the time and hence he was immediately carried out of the Nine broadcast box on a wheeled stretcher by paramedics.
Many people were looking concerned in the press area as the Englishman was sweating like anything, was helped onto the gurney and taken away.
Nicolas has been doing commentary for Channel Nine and his fellow commentator Michael Slater talked about the Nicolas' condition at the tea interval coverage confirming that "he had been taken to hospital with "abdominal pains" and said an update would be provided on his condition in due course."
News Ltd has reported that Nicholas was taken to a local hospital by the network's head of sport, Tom Malone, and was in a stable condition. Nicholas was present during the toss as a commentator and interviewed both skippers as well.
