Kohli dismisses Kumble's idea of 'conditioning camp' before England series

By Saurabh -

Recently there was news of Team India undergoing a conditioning camp from January 6 to January 12 at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, but now as per Times of India's sources, the camp has been called off after Virat Kohli and other seniors said they needed more rest to recover after a hectic schedule.

It was the idea of head coach Anil Kumble to have the camp prior to the ODI & T20I series against England, but it seems Team India will now opt for longer practice sessions in Pune before the 1st ODI on January 15.

“The team management did weigh the work-load on the cricketers. But there are some like ODI captain MS Dhoni who will have a good opportunity at the camp to get into the groove,“ the source said before confirming that the camp has been called off.
