The ongoing clash between Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) and Lodha Committee may have an impact on the paychecks of the Team India support staff are yet to be given to them and there is no update from the Indian board till date. As per the reports, BCCI president, Anurag Thakur had chatted with the staff after the conclusion of the 5th Test in Chennai.
As per the sources, Thakur asked the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) officials to arrange a meeting with the support staff and he met them after the presentation party of the Chennai Test. The meeting was comprised of coach Anil Kumble. Skipper Virat Kohli.
The ongoing legal clash between the Lodha Committee and BCCI has resulted in the fact that the Indian board is dependent on the mercy of the Supreme Court. Commenting on that, Thakur said, "Everything will be clear after January 2 or 3. We’ll have to wait till then."
One of the sources present in the meeting said, “He congratulated us all for the series win (against England) and asked the team and staff to the keep the tempo going. All of us cherished the win with the president over a cup of tea.”
