The right-handed batsman, Chris Lynn has been phenomenal for Brisbane Heat from the last two seasons of Big Bash League (BBL). Recently, in a match against Hobart Hurricanes, he played a brutal innings of 84 along with their skipper, Brendon McCullum, who also scored a half-century and helped their team to chase down the target of 174 pretty easily.
Talking about the innings, the Heat coach, Daniel Vettori said, "You become immune to it because you see his quality of striking all the time. Where he has excelled over the last couple of years is that he has a really strong gameplan."
He further added, "I don't think people give him enough credit. His understanding and intelligence about the game are the reason he is doing so well."
Vettori had heaps of praises for Lynn as he said, "His record speaks for itself in all formats. He is an aggressive player but he is also highly skillful and a very thoughtful player. That's the combination of things you want in any format."
Lynn had sustained a shoulder injury recently and talking about that he said, "Obviously the (Test) ambition is there but it is hard to put a name in front of selectors when I haven't hit a red ball for close to 12 months now. I'd like to get a full season out the way, get the shoulder right and then we will see what happens."
