We have seen many interesting dismissal on Cricket field and Chandimal just made his contribution recently. The series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has been quite an interesting one with some entertaining matches been played.
In the third ODI at Colombo, Sri Lanka started the match decently and were batting at 135-2 when Dinesh Chandimal got himself run out in a unusual way. The batsman played the ball on the off side of Shakib Al Hasan’s bowling and looked for a couple of runs.
The Sri Lankan pair ran the first run hard but Chandimal was too lazy while returning back for the second as he chose to jog to the striker’s end. Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed collected the ball on the off side and was quick to throw it back to his wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim.
Rahim was equally alert of Chandimal’s poor running. He dislodged the bails as soon as he received the ball and departed Chandimal for a score of 21 despite getting off to a start.
The incident was similar to dismissal of Virender Sehwag against Sri Lanka. Where he also jogged into the crease at non-striker end and a brilliant through from Sangakara from keeper end got him out.
Watch: Dinesh Chandimal’s dismissal.
