The IPL 10 has moved on into its third week and we have seen some really nail biting contests so far. MI came back from behind to defeat RCB, SRH managed to hold on against KXIP and Delhi have surprised everyone this season with their tremendous potential.
This match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium will see two bowling heavy teams in Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils go at it against each other. Both the teams are in the top 4 of the points table and let’s see how this contest might go.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a brilliant outing against Kings XI Punjab in their last match. Their bowlers really won them the match despite a blistering counter attack by Manan Vohra. The afghan duo of Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi bowled some tight overs in the middle to squeeze the runs and pressurize KXIP batsmen into hitting false shots. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar demolished KXIP with a brilliant 5 wicket haul and the onus of giving the SRH a good start will fall on him.
This will be the same strategy against Delhi, who has some really good hitters in the middle order. However what SRH is lacking is the power hitter in the end overs. Naman Ojha tried his best and he doesn’t seem the batsmen that will better a DD quality bowling attack. The momentum is with them and this match can be the most exciting match of this IPL 10, if their batting helps out their bowling.
Delhi Daredevils have had a brilliant start to this year’s IPL, winning 2 out of four games. They have been blessed by the patience and calmness of Rahul Dravid and their batting order seems to be in good knick. They did lost a match which they should have won against KKR, but today is a fresh day and they need to look forward to the SRH challenge.
Their batting order is set; however, the concern for them is the form of their ace spinner Amit Mishra. Mishra is coming off an injury that kept him out of the Australia Test series and it seems that he is a little rusty. They got a tremendous boost in return of Angelo Mathews and now they have someone other than Rishabh Pant- who should bat higher than no.5- to hit the big shots at the end. Dravid should look to open with Pant to give him the majority of the 120 balls to be faced in their innings.
This match is going to be a cracker and the best bowling team title of IPL 10 is on the line here.
