On Wednesday, India' young leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal had bowled his career best spell in the third and final T20I match between India and England in Bangalore. He bagged six wickets in the match by conceding just 25 runs in his quota of four overs.
Chahal was rewarded as the player of the match and player of the series for taking 8 wickets in the three-match T20 series. Taking a six-wicket haul at a batsman's paradise like Chinnaswamy stadium isn't an easy job do. He has a lot of IPL experience while playing for the Royal Challengers Banglore at the venue and that had helped him to trap the Englishmen into his clever web of spin bowling.
India's flamboyant all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh became a reporter after the match to interview Chahal for his incredible bowling display. He shot his first question with a taste of wittiness in it, which goes like, "What is more heavier, ball or you?" Chahal replied,"I am a bit heavier than the ball."
The series of questions was thrown to Chahal by Yuvraj. The latter praised him to the phenomenal bowling display as in most cases the bowler takes 3-4 wickets in a T20I match but taking a 6-wicket haul is something out of the world.
Talking about his bowling performance, Chahal said, "I am happy to take my first five-wicket haul which I don't even manage to get in the IPL as well. It always feels like home in Banglore."
He elaborated, "I stick to my basics when Root and Morgan were batting and tried to bowl outside the off stump and that helped me to take wickets."
