Winning the toss and opting to ball in 4th Youth ODI against India U-19, England U-19 were on a backfoot early, as openers Himanshu Rana and Shubman Gill looked in touch. Bith the openers added 83 runs in 15 overs, before Patterson-White had Rana caught. However, Shubman Gill along with Prithvi Shaw completely out played England bowlers, as they added 231 runs for the 1st wicket partnership and helped the Total to 314 before Prithvi Shaw after a wonderful hundred was dismissed in 43rd over. However Shubman Gill along with vital contribution from Abhishek Sharma helped total to 382/9. For India Shubman Gill scored 160 in 120 balls. For England Arthur Godsal, Delray Rawlins and Henry Brookes had couple of wickets each.
In reply, England could manage only 152, before they were all out. Ollie Pope and Will Jacks provided a fight back as they scored 53 and 44 but apart from no one else could managed a score of above 20, while 8 players were not even able to score a double digit figures. Kamlesh Nagarkoti picked up 4 wickets, while Vivekanand Tiwari had three as India scripted a 230 runs win over England and took an unassailable lead of 3-1.
