Blackcaps captain Kane Williamson has sounded a warning to neighbours Australia as they begin their preparations for the tour of India, with a training camp in Dubai. Williamson who led New Zealand when they were whitewashed 3-0 by India in October, said the home team knows how to play in their conditions and will be tough to beat even though Australia is a very good team as well.
Cricbuzz quoted Williamson as he said, “It’s a very tough place to tour. Australia is a very good side and they’ll have to adapt quickly. It also depends on a lot on the surfaces they may come up against,”
“They (India) have 13 Test matches at home this summer and a lot of the surfaces have been very, very different. They (India) have 13 Test matches at home this summer and a lot of the surfaces have been very, very different. They’ve spent a lot of time in India. They know what to expect. I’m sure they’ll fight hard,” he concluded.
