Sachin Tendulkar is known as the ‘GOD OF CRICKET’ among his admirers all over the world. One such admirer among all is the flamboyant Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Yuvi never misses a chance to show his love and respect to his Sachin paji. Many a times in the past, Yuvraj has been captured touching Sachin’s feet and taking blessings from him. Here are those instances……

3. After his Hundredth IPL innings (2016)

Yuvraj played his hundredth IPL innings in a match against Mumbai Indians at Vishakhapatnam in IPL 2016. After the match he came to Sachin Tendulkar near the boundary line and touched his feet as a mark of respect. However Sachin tried to stop Yuvi but had to take blessings from his legend. He scored 39 runs from 23 balls for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

2. Before the match (2015)

A year ago in one of the IPL matches against Mumbai Indians, Yuvraj Singh was seen taking blessings from the ‘God of Cricket’ and his inspiration Sachin Tendulkar. This time it was before the game. And guess what, Yuvi hit a half century in that match despite being in a bad form for some time!

1.  Million dollar moment at the MCC vs ROW (2014)

This was the first and the most famous incident when Yuvi touched Sachin Paji’s feet. It was in 2014 during the Lord’s Bicentenary celebration match when Yuvi hit a century playing for Rest of the World XI and against Marylebone Cricket Club led by Sachin Tendulkar. Yuvraj went to Sachin who was bowling for the MCC and touched his feet as a mark of respect.

Special Bond

Sachin and Yuvi no doubts share a special bond. They both back each other and encourage one another to rise from difficult times both on field as well as in personal life. Sachin inspires many but Yuvi still has a special connect.

“I remember I have a picture of me and Sachin together which I have put in my locker. I used to have a look at that picture and go to bat. He is my inspiration.” Yuvraj Singh.
