India's most successful limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has decided to represent Jharkhand in Vijay Hazare Trophy, might be used to be associated to stardom, but for others he still holds an aura and makes it difficult for others to treat him as just a domestic player as he still holds big stature in Indian Cricket, despite stepping down from the post of skipper.
MS Dhoni, left his luxury car at home, to travel with Team Jharkhand on Train to Kolkata, where Jharkhand will play their first game of the domestic season on Eden Gardens's turf. Bonding with Team Jharkhand, Dhoni will be staying at a hotel near Eden Gardens, which will be completely different than that MS Dhoni would have stayed at with Team India,
Talking to media, Team Manager, PN Singh. said, "Should the team decide to stay in Kalyani, some 51km away from Kolkata, where they play on Tuesday, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, 23rd on Forbes’ list of the world’s best paid athletes in 2015, will be at the CAB’s academy lodgings there"
One of the biggest attraction in this year's India's domestic cup, Vijay Hazare is indeed MS Dhoni, and everyone on Thursday, at Eden Garden would just stop by to have a glimpse of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
Virat Singh, who played a brilliant knock of unbeaten 48-ball 74 in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is sharing dressing room with Mahi, speaking on his time with MS, Virat said, "I haven’t spent much time with him, I am looking forward to doing that, There are no words to express what it means to be sharing a dressing room with MS Dhoni, I am not scared of him but I keep my distance… (However,) I hope I can speak to him about his leadership qualities and the ability to stay cool under pressure.”
“Ghar jaao, rest kaaro, (go home and rest).” With these words to journalists, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, went for practice at the Eden Gardens.
