Some exciting cricket is going on the in several corners of the world, either it is Zimbabwe versus Afghanistan or New Zealand versus South Africa. Sorry, I can’t add India-Australia to that list as the first test match was not exciting from any aspect. It was a totally one-sided affair. Let’s back to the topic. An exciting incident took place in the first One-Day International between New Zealand and South Africa.
The blackcaps’ skipper Kane Williamson is a handy part-time spinner and can give you four or five good overs. He was doing the same in that opening encounter of the series when he bowled a horror of a delivery. He pitched the ball half down to the track and the ball bounced twice before reaching to the batsman. The aggressive Quinton De Kock was on strike and Williamson was lucky that he failed to connect with the ball. See what happened in the middle;
Williamson was laughing on his bizarre bowl and said “It was quite effective today! I clipped my leg and I didn’t want to let go of it. But it was a dot ball – that’s the main thing!”
South Africa pulled this thrilling One-Day International in their favor by four wickets.
