Afghanistan cricket team is currently busy playing a One-Day International series in Zimbabwe while the fast bowler Shapoor Zadran is busy working on his game in Mumbai.
Zadran missed the cricket for six months due to a right knee injury and he is currently working towards hitting full throttle before the start of the home season in Noida.
Whhile Afghanistan is playing other associate nations , Zadran is preparing for the long spells he will be bowling in the scorching heat. He also reveals that his favorite Bollywood hero is Shah Rukh Khan and ever since landing in Mumbai he wants to meet him.
But the Afghanistan batting coach and current bowling coach Umesh Patwal, told him that Shah Rukh is currently busy shooting in England.
Zadran told The Indian Express, “I would like to go but he must be a busy man. Plus, when I reached the airport Umesh told me that I had to bowl as many overs as possible to get back into the groove.”
He also said about MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli about their welcoming the minnows, “MS came and told us after a match that we were a promising team and would do well. Kohli came and hugged us after a match. If you are a star, that’s what you do – you come and hug a junior, a pat on the back. There are expectations from heroes, and it’s nice when Indians show us that respect. Yuvraj, Rohit Sharma…”
Zadran further added, “Dil bada hona chahiye – in bowling and when winning.”
