Australia test cricket team has planned to prepare for their test series against the Indian Test in Dubai. As the Monday reports suggested that the team officials seek more control over the state of practice pitches in Dubai.
It can be the “closest thing to mission impossible” for Australia to put a fight in front of world’s number one side in February as they won their last test in India in 2004.
While talking to Fairfax Media, Cricket Australia’s high-performance general manager Pat Howard said, “India is not going to be the same everywhere. What they can do in Dubai is do a lot of different preparation with different types of pitches. The ICC have done a really good job where they’ll have different pitches of the cities… so it’s not just spin pitches, there are different types."
he further added, “We cannot copy what we are going to get. It’s all about the mindset that we’re going to adapt. We can’t get practice against (Ravichandran) Ashwin and (Ravindra) Jadeja either.”
Australian squad for the final Sydney Test against Pakistan has been chosen keeping the four-Test India in mind and includes two spinners in Nathan Lyon and Steve O’Keefe.
