India’s limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen with the Jharkhand team during the Ranji Trophy semi-finals between his home state and Gujarat.
While Gujarat stood at a commanding position at the end of the first day with a prolific score of 283 for 3, Dhoni sat in the dug-out throughout the entire first day’s play. At stumps, Dhoni had a chat with the players as they were going through their cool down routines.
Throughout this season of Ranji Trophy, Dhoni has been an integral part of Jharkhand team as a mentor and has been present during numerous matches of the team, including against Maharashtra at the Karnail Singh Stadium.
Although Dhoni has hung his boots from Test matches, but he still has lot to give to others and that has resulted in influencing players like Ishan Kishan, Kaushal Singh, Shahbaz Nadeem.
As Dhoni was present during the semi-final, Gujarat’s Priyank Panchal who has been the highest run-scorer in this season, also got the chance to have a chat with the Indian skipper and improve his game bit more.
