Amjad Hussain Bhatti has been confirmed that the Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq will lead in the third and final Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which will start from 3 January 2017 and with this announcement all speculations have ended regarding Misbah’s participation in the Sydney Test.
Amjad Hussain Bhatti, the Media Manager of Pakistan told media, "Misbah will play at Sydney and he will be captain.”
When Misbah-led Pakistan team lost the second Test by an innings and 18-run against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground that time the skipper had stated that he may quit international cricket.
He had said, "I think I need to think about it. I always believed that if I couldn't contribute to the team then it's no point staying there. This is a point where I need to think about that, even before the next game [in Sydney] and after the series. Next couple of days I will think about it and decide what to do."
Last Year, the Pakistan Cricket Team had climbed to the No.1 position in the Test rankings of International Cricket Council under the captaincy of Misbah.
