South Africa seamer, Kyle Abbot, announced his retirement from International Cricket after South Africa registered a big win against Sri Lanka. Soon after second Test of the series against Sri Lanka, at Cape Town, Kyle Abbot went quietly and said good bye to teammates and International cricket.
Playing for South Africa, 29 year old, Kyle, represented his country on 11 occasions in Test cricket and grabbed 39 wickets. Kyle picked up 3 Five-Wicket hauls with best bowling figures in an innings of 7/29.
Soon after Kagiso Rabada helped South Africa crush Sri Lanka by 282 runs, Kyle Abbott gave each player a hug and a few words, waved to some people in the stands. However, despite having a short yet brilliant career in Test cricket, Abbott went wicket less in both the innings of his final Test.
Later, Faf du Plessis confirmed that Kyle Abbott has played his last Test for South Africa.
