Stats: MS Dhoni's records as captain

By Sampath -

After serving Indian cricket as the limited overs captain for over a decade, MS Dhoni took a call to step down from his role. Dhoni, the most successful captain for India, led the side to victories in the ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC World T20 and ICC Champions Trophy to become the only captain in the history to bag all these 3 titles. Dhoni acted as India’s captain in the longer format too for 7 years and led India to the World No.1 spot in ICC rankings for almost 20 months under his leadership.

MS Dhoni led India to 24 ODI series victories out of which, 6 are tournament wins. 3 of the 6 are Tri-series, one is Asia Cup and other two in ICC tournaments; the World Cup and the Champions Trophy.
