Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been announced as the face of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Spice Coast Marathon 2017 by the IDBI Federal Life Insurance on Monday.
2017 season of the Spice Coast Marathon, which is certified by USA Track & Field (USATF), will be held on Nov 12, 2017, includes 4 race categories, Full Marathon (42.2 km), a half marathon (21.1 km) The Half Marathon Corporate Relay (21.1 km) and crowd favorite Family Fun Run (8 km).
The running route planned to pass through the most picturesque parts of Kochi takes all participants through 42 inspirational historical landmarks that motivate and encourage runners to perform better.

Sachin Tendulkar also expressed his delight with this assignment and said that Kerala is a state that is very close to his heart, and he is elated to be a part of one of the most scenic marathons of India, aptly called the IDBI Federal Spice Coast Marathon 2017.
The master blaster concluded, “After being a part of the IDBI Federal marathons in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata it is great to be in Kochi and cheer for all the local runners. I am confident the enthusiasm and energy of Kochi city will create new benchmarks at the IDBI Federal Spice Coast marathon.”
