ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Nissan trophy tour begins in New Delhi, India

The Nissan ICC trophy tour was started in Dubai in February this year.

The preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2017 to be held in England have gained momentum as the Nissan trophy tour in in India currently. Previously the trophy was at Mumbai and Bengaluru between 4th and 11th March before coming to Delhi on 14th March. The Nissan ICC Champions trophy tour was flagged off in February from Dubai. The Dubai event was attended by former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and employees and ICC staff. 

The ICC Champions Trophy Nissan tour was flagged off in the Cyber Hub in New Delhi and we have some exclusive photographs from the mega event held in the capital. 


The trophy was displayed next at Unity Nissan in Rohini, Delhi and Neo Nissan in Noida on March 15th, 2017. The mega events for the trophy tour will see the trophy displayed at major venues like malls, college campuses, corporate parks all over India, so that cricket fans can get a close look at the ICC Champions trophy, that will see the top 8 ODI teams battling it out in England.

The event in Cyber Hub, Delhi was fun filled with many young and old fans of cricket witnessing the coveted trophy in person for the first time. The car enthusiasts also found many of Nissan’s newer model cars on display along with the ICC trophy. Not many people get the chance of a lifetime to see an actual ICC tournament trophy up-close and people and cricket fans in Delhi will keep this experience with them for their life time.


Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. India is the defending champion of this trophy and we at Nissan are excited to bring it closer to cricket fans across India.”  


 

After India, the trophy will next travel to countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. It will then return to England before the first match of the ICC Champions Trophy between England and Bangladesh at the Oval on 1st June, 2017.
