Nothing went in India’s favor on the opening day of Ranchi Test, where Australia dominated the host whole day. After an early wobble in the first session, visitors managed to end the day one on high. Moreover, hosts got a setback as captain Kohli injured his shoulder while fielding and didn’t come back after leaving the field once.

Australian skipper’s never ending thrust for runs was visible yesterday as well when Smith scored yet another Test ton against India. However, Glenn Maxwell also played the role of second fiddle with him as he ended the day at 82 while his skipper returned to pavilion while batting on 117.

On the second day, Australia started from 299 for 4 as Umesh Yadav started the proceeding with the ball and Ajinkya Rahane was still doing the job of stand-in skipper. One the very first ball of the day, Yadav breaks Maxwell’s bat with a good length ball. Maxi defended that ball, which struck near the sticker of his bat and it broke into two pieces. What followed it was laughter from everyone as Yadav showed his biceps to Maxwell.
