Australian batsmen led by Steve Smith enjoyed the best outing so far in this series as they produced a big score of 451 in their first innings. Indian bowling line-up was looking all tired on the second day of the Ranchi Test as Maxwell and Smith made a merry with the pitch. Both registered their respective centuries and kept the Indian bowlers at bay.
However, Indians were very good on the field as every player was putting hard-yards while fielding. It started with Jadeja’s excellent caught and bowled followed by a Pujara stunner. The dedication level was so high that skipper Virat Kohli injured himself while putting a dive just to save a run. Fielding standards remained the same on the following day as well.
Meanwhile, Karun Nair showed quick reflexes while standing close to batsman at silly point. On the first ball of 137th over, Nathan Lyon defended a good length ball on the front foot, but the ball bounced a bit and hit higher on the bat. Nair, standing at silly point was going to his right, but quickly realized the direction of the ball and managed to grab a sharp catch near his left leg. With this wicket, Jadeja completed his 8th fifer in Test cricket as well.Watch this catch here:
