Afghanistan’s young sensation Rashid Khan is in between of the best time since the last two months. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) made a big announcement as they named Rashid the vice-captain of the national cricket team in all three formats.
It is a very interesting decision by them as he gets this big opportunity in his teenage. However, ACB announced their intentions of looking far ahead.
Earlier, he became the highest paid associate player in the history of Indian Premier League, where he was picked by defending champion Sunrisers Hyderabad in the auction of IPL 10 for a whopping price of 4 crores.
Currently, he is in India with his national side for the limited-over series against Ireland. The 18-year-old has impressed the world with his leg-spin as he registered a mind blowing figures of 2-1-3-5 in the second T20I in Greater Noida. He snared five Irish batsmen in just eleven deliveries, which is a new world record to get a fifer in T20 cricket. Khan followed this with another impressive outing in the third T20I, where he bowled a three-wicket over.
With the help of this performance, Afghanistan clean swept Ireland by 3-0 in the T20I series.
