Mohammed Shami while playing only his second competitive game since recovering from a leg injury that kept him out of cricket since the 2nd Test match against England, bowled a lethal spell to pick up four wickets against Tamil Nadu in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final. Shami has been missed by Team India and this spell will no doubt please not just the team management but his fans as well.
Apart from Shami, veterean seamer Ashoke Dinda too continued his great run in the domestic season and finished with three wickets as Bengal restricted Tamil Nadu to only 217, with Dinesh Karthik scoring a brilliant ton (112 off 120 balls).
Bengal's batsmen are in great touch and they will fancy chasing down the target with ease to cap off a fine season for them in limited overs cricket. Skipper Manoj Tiwary also credited the presence of Sourav Ganguly as an important factor for the team, particularly against MS Dhoni in the semi-final.
