Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is the first cricketer to be introduced as a LinkedIn Influencer. The social networking platform defines their Influencer concept circling around persons who are world’s leading thinkers, leaders, and innovators as well leaders in their industries and geographies.
In the list of the Influencers includes the likes of Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Arianna Huffington, Narendra Modi, David Cameron, Shashi Tharoor and Priyanka Chopra and Yes! Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin is very well known for his contribution to Indian cricket but after retiring from cricket, he is known for his brilliant ideas in various businesses as well as various generous works. And the LinkedIn is the best platform for him to explore his ideas with everyone and he well deserves a place of a LinkedIn Influencer, where Indian Prime Minister Modi also shares his concepts with the peoples.
Tendulkar’s journey from a cricketer to the captain of the Indian cricket team and then Member of the Parliament (MP) is very interesting and inspiring. But his journey does not end here as the master blaster has managed to stay in the public eye even after his retirement from cricket through business and various philanthropic works. He is the only sporting recipient of the Bharat Ratna.
The legendary batsman’s about me section on the Influencer page reads, “Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is to Cricket, what Pele is to Football, Jordan is to Basketball and Ali is to Boxing.”
The batting maestro already enjoys a huge fan following on social media with over 15 million followers on Twitter and nearly 28 million ‘likes’ on Face book. And now Tendulkar has over 54,000 followers on LinkedIn.
