Dale Steyn who played for the Gujarat Lions last season has ruled himself out of IPL 2017. Steyn suffered a shoulder injury during the first Test match against Australia last year at Perth and then was then ruled out for almost six months. The pacer later in December confirmed that he miss will the cash-rich league but some rumours forced him to confirm the news again.
Steyn, who previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Deccan Chargers, was a part of Gujarat Lions last year but only played one game.
He has confirmed his absence from the season via a tweet.
