Indian captain Virat Kohli hinted at the of inclusion of pacer Mohammad Shami for Dharamshala encounter during the post-match press conference after Ranchi Test. Shami has joined the team at Dharmasala and most probably will take the field in the final Test.
Meanwhile, there is no official announcement from selectors whether he will play or not, but he responded to his captain’s SOS and arrived at the venue of final Test, where his teammates already landed on Tuesday. Shami shared the news of his arrival on Twitter.

Indian spearhead injured himself during Mohali Test against England in November and was ruled out of the remaining cricketing action which followed by two Tests and limited-over series against the same opposition. He further went to miss one-off Test against Bangladesh as well but was expecting to get a call for Australia Tests, which eventually couldn’t happen.
Indian coach Anil Kumble made a policy, according to him injured player will make a comeback in the national side only after proving them self at domestic level. Thus, Shami played the final match of Vijay Hazare Trophy for Bengal, where he picked up four wickets and passed the fitness test as well.
The injury-hit bowler is now most likely to play in Dharamshala, where both teams will play their hearts out to win the final game of the series which is level at 1-1. Ranchi Test ended in a draw after Bengaluru went in India’s favour and Pune in Australia’s kitty. The fourth Test will get underway from March 25.
