South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock has been ruled out of the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League for Delhi Daredevils as per a report by EspnCricinfo. However, De Kock has passed the required fitness Test on Friday and will be available for the Hamilton Test against New Zealand.
The 24-year-old gloveman had picked up an injury on the tendon of his right index finger. However, Kock is sufficiently recovered for playing the third Test of the three-match Test series against the Protease but he is still feeling pain as he went into the pre-match net practice with the injured finger well strapped.
Despite this, the South African team management said that Kock is the very important weapon for the Protease and he needs to be there against the Kiwis that's why they decided to field him for the Hamilton match.
But Cricket South Africa ruled him out of playing the IPL 2017 in order to be available for the Champions Trophy and the England Tests that follow.
