After Indian Cricket team has now swept the Border Gavaskar series, the focus will now shift to the Indian Premier League which starts in 10 day’s time.
However, there is bad news for Virat Kohli fans, as he is likely to miss the first few matches due to his shoulder injury which he aggravated in the third Test match at Ranchi. Speaking to Ravi Shastri at the post-match conference in Dharamsala, Kohli said: “It is still a few weeks for me to be 100% fit on the field”.
Kohli’s recuperation period is likely to extend past the first few matches of RCB’s campaign, the first of which begins against reigning champions Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad on April 5, a week after the culmination of the Dharamsala Test. The subsequent matches, against Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai, are scheduled to take place in quick succession, on April 8, April 10 and April 14.
As it turned out, Kohli’s aggravated shoulder injury kept him out of the final Test at Dharmasala which India went on to win b y 8 wickets under Ajinkya Rahane.
