Indian captain Virat Kohli might have missed the final Test against Australia in Dharamshala, but he certainly would be happy that India made a clean sweep in what was one of the longest home seasons India has ever had in recent times.
Reporters caught up with Kohli in the dressing room after the Dharamshala match and Kohli was ecstatic and extremely happy that the team showed immense character and showed that they could win despite Kohli not playing. He also said that he was happy that the home season gave India many new faces in the Test arena that have left quite an impression on the fans.
The video also captures India coach Anil Kumble saying some encouraging words for all the new comers in the Indian team and praised the leadership of Virat Kohli that saw India going unbeaten in all the series at home.
India defeated South Africa, New Zealand, England and now Australia at home, with only Australia giving some tough fight to the Indian team. Virat Kohli was instrumental in India winning the series against New Zealand and England, as he hit double hundreds against both opponents, while spinners Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin starred throughout the season with Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma for support.
