Virat had clarified his statement over friendship with Australian players on Thursday. He tweeted that his comment was only for a couple of players and not for the whole Aussie team, and the players who played with him in IPL will always be his friends.
Mitchell Starc is one of those Aussie player who has played with Virat in RCB. He shared his reaction with Virat on Twitter. Starc direct messaged Virat Kohli jokingly asking him, if he would play for Royal Challengers Bangalore again or will he need to change his team. He later congratulated him for the series win and asked about his shoulder injury.
While doing so, he made one silly mistake. Instead of sending the message to the Indian skipper's Twitter account, Starc sent the message to a parody account. The parody account shared the screen-shot of the message received from Starc on its timeline and it went viral in matter of seconds.
Mitchell Starc was ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar trophy after he suffered an injury during Bengaluru Test. He suffered a stress fracture in his right foot which made him fly back to Australian for medical attention.
"Mitchell experienced some pain in his right foot during the second Test in Bangalore which unfortunately had not subsided a few days after the Test as we had hoped," team physiotherapist David Beakley said.
