Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad will start their campaign in IPL 10 minus one very vital player from their team. It has been reported that Bangladesh’s sensational left arm fast bowler, Mustafizur Rahman is likely to miss the whole IPL 10.
Talking to a local Bangladesh website, Rahman said,” I have learnt a lot from IPL, but I don’t think I will be able to make it for the tournament this time around. I’m waiting for a permission from the Board.”
He further continued, “Even if I go, I will have to return by the first week of May. I am yet to get back to my rhythm, so Mashrafe Bhai (Mashrafe Mortaza) suggested me to skip the IPL. I am seriously considering his advice. We have a long session ahead and it is important that I remain fit. I’m trying hard to regain the lost touch but I am still not happy with my performance”
Mustafizur who is better known as “Fizz” picked up 17 wickets in 16 matches for Sunrisers last season and was one of the prime reasons SRH won the IPL title for the first time. Sunriser’s team management confirmed the news saying “He will be missing the first leg, for sure. We are waiting for an official response from the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Mustafizur’s availability”
Mustafizur is in Sri Lanka to play the ODI and T20I series. Bangladesh will also play Ireland and New Zealand in a tri-series in May in Ireland.
