RANJI TROPHY 2017/18: ROUND V, DAY 3- Chhattisgarh wins; J&K in strong position as Mumbai struggles

Ranji Trophy 2017-18 season has moved onto its 5th round after 4 previous rounds of extremely serious cricket and loads of record.

Chhattisgarh registered a big win on day three. Priyank Panchal, RH Motwani and UP's Umang Sharma made brilliant hundreds, Sachidanand Pandey took 5 wickets. 

Here is the complete round up of Day one of Round five of Ranji Trophy 2017/18:

TRIPURA v ANDHRA

81 apiece from MB Mura Singh and Gurinder Singh took Tripura to 315 despite Bhargav Bhatt picking 4/93 for Andhra. Andhra ended the day 138 runs ahead, after making 51/1 in their second innings.

UTTAR PRADESH v ASSAM
After bowling out Assam for 318, UP have consolidated their position in the match further by making 229/2 in the second innings and taking a lead of 260 runs at the end of Day 3. Umang Sharma is unbeaten on 131 and Mohd. Saif is not out on 38 at stumps.

BENGAL v VIDARBHA

Koushik Ghosh and Manoj Tiwary both made 50 as Bengal could only muster 207 runs in their 1st inns in reply to Vidarbha’s 499. AA Wakhare took 3/45, while Lalit Yadav 2/43 and RN Gurbani 2/43 did other significant damage.

Following on, Bengal is 86/3 with Sudip Chatterjee making 40 and Manoj Tiwary not out on 36. Lalit Yadav picked all the 3 Bengal wickets to fall.
