WATCH – Irfan Pathan thrilled to see his brother Yusuf Pathan notching up a Ranji ton

Yusuf Pathan made twin tons against Madhya Pradesh in the first round of Ranji Trophy at Indore.

Pathan brothers (Irfan and Yusuf) share a very good rapport as both of them have exhibited their affection towards each other on numerous occasions in the public platform as well as in the various social media sites.

In the ongoing domestic tournament ‘Ranji Trophy’, the duo is playing for Baroda and Irfan Pathan is the one who’s leading the side. During the first round of this prestigious first-class event, Baroda clashed against the strong Madhya Pradesh team wherein Yusuf made a serious statement by slamming centuries in each innings.

While replying to Madhya Pradesh’s mammoth first innings total of 551, Baroda were down and out at 54-4 before the Pathan brothers added 188 runs for the fifth wicket. Yusuf scored a blistering 125-ball 111, which included 13 fours and 6 sixes whereas Irfan contributed with 130-ball 80.

Watching his brother hammering the MP attack from the other end, Irfan couldn’t quite hide his emotions as he pumped his fist in the air when Yusuf notched up a whirlwind century.

Revealing the moment, Junior Pathan took to his official Twitter account and posted a video with a caption: “That's how the big man @iamyusufpathan got to his 100 #pureemotion #sheerjoy #love”

However, other Baroda batsmen didn’t contribute much as the team got bundled out for 302 in the first innings. Eventually, the Baroda boys were enforced follow-on by Madhya Pradesh skipper Devendra Bundela. In the second innings, Irfan Pathan led team got bowled out for 315 wherein Yusuf scored again proved his mettle with an unbeaten 136. Madhya Pradesh though didn’t face any issue while chasing down the target of 73 in the second innings as they seal deal by 8 wickets in just 16 overs.
