Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, star badminton player PV Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand have joined hands with the Hyderabad based CallHealth Services by investing $6.2 Mn in it. As per documents sourced from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the cricket icon has reportedly invested $1.88 Mn (INR 12 Cr) while PV Sindhu and Gopichand have invested approximately $625K (INR 4 Cr) each.
Besides the sportspersons, a Hyderabad-based IT services company named ‘Tetra Soft’ has invested around $1.25 Mn (INR 8 Cr) whereas Bijman Projects Pvt. Ltd has put in $1.56 Mn (INR 10 Cr). However, this particular round is fairly less as compared to last year’s fund raising which bagged about Rs 57.52 crore. Last year’s round had witnessed Telugu film actors Chiranjeevi Konidela, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Allu Arjun making a healthy investment.
Sandhya Raju, the daughter of Ramco group chairman PR Venketrama Raja is the founder of CallHealth. She also happens to be the daughter-in-law of Ramalinga Raju (promoter of Satyam Computer Services).
CallHealth offers a number of healthcare services such as hospitalization assistance, medicine delivery, home-care services including nurses, doctor consultation, and diagnostic tests. The company is also placed in the national capital besides having its offices in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
